Axway Provides B2B Automotive Solutions for Major Premium Automobile Joint Venture in China

(AUTO MOBI) - Proving its global strategy and efficiencies within the supply chain, Axway is providing its Business-to-Business (B2B) Automotive Solutions to its Chinese partner, BMW Brilliance Automotive in Shenyang. Based upon Axway TradeSync Integration Manager (TSIM), Axway B2B Automotive Solutions provide end-to-end visibility and facilitate seamless communication

between BMW Brilliance Automotive and its suppliers and shipping agents while ensuring the high standards in the automobile industry are met and that users can trace their electronic messages.

Axway increases supply chain efficiency by providing delivery instructions synchronized with production (known as SPAB). SPAB is transferred to the Just-In-Sequence System (JIS) suppliers via the OFTP-TCP/IP (Internet Protocol) and tightly integrates them with the production process. To guarantee deliveries can be quickly and reliably traced, carriers send EDIFACT IFTSTA D.99B messages to BMW Brilliance Automotive. The Web-based communication protocol AS2 and email are used to communicate with carriers. Because TSIM flexibly handles different communication protocols, several methods of communication, including OFTP, AS2 and email, are used in parallel.

SAP Application Link Enabling (ALE) Technology is used to seamlessly integrate Axway TSIM with BMW Brilliance Automotive’s application environment. The solution is SAP® certified, providing sound integration. Additional SAP® certifications exist for other TSIM components such as SAP® NetWeaver ALE Integration Base for TSIM 3 and Automotive Business Content.
